I treated the patient today. I found a really tight muscle in her trapezoidal area and got a large twitch from it.
This type of twitching is usually sore for 1-2 days after the treatment so we wonk know if there was any effect until then. I expect to need to do this 4-5 times before we know if surgery is avoidable. I will typically not perform trigger point acupuncture any more than twice a week… the muscles need time to recover from the twitching and soreness so we can get an unimpeded assessment of the results (without soreness from the pain)
