About Dr. Rhonda Hogan

Dr. Rhonda Hogan, DACM, Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Hogan is the director and owner of AbsoluteQi. She has held an Acupuncture license since 1999 and is licensed in New Jersey and nationally certified (NCCAOM). She is practicing in Somerset NJ.

Her style of acupuncture includes many disciplines including Electro-Acupuncture Medicine, Acupuncture Physical Medicine (which includes trigger point release), and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her personal style is polite, concerned and truly caring. People feel heard and regularly comment on her listening abilities.

Dr. Hogan excels at diagnosis. She takes all of the clues provided by you, your supplied medical information, her observations of your personal energy, your emotional state and stress level, your pulse, color, past medical treatments and their results, and much more into consideration when creating a treatment plan.

Dr. Hogan graduated from Pacific College of Health and Sciences, San Diego, CA  with a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She also graduated from Tri-State College of Acupuncture (TSCA), New York, NY with honors obtaining a Master of Science in Acupuncture and a Certificate in Traditional Chinese Pharmacology.

During her time at TSCA she interned at Sidney-Hillman Center, New York, NY (a Beth-Israel HIV out-patient facility). Upon graduation from TSCA she studied at Shu-Guang Hospital, Shanghai, China.

Dr. Hogan began her health care studies in 1985 while attending Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.  From Lehigh, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a psychology minor. During her time at Lehigh University, she volunteered all four years in the physical therapy department as an assistant.

A graduate of Somerset School of Massage Therapy, 1990. Dr. Hogan's related experience includes working as a massage therapist and as a microbiologist for GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals in Piscataway, NJ.

She maintains her license with continuing education, including seminars on acupuncture for fertility, acupuncture for the cancer patient at Memorial Sloan Kettering, nutrition courses with Dr. Andrew Weil and other similar courses.
